Villa Serenata

An exclusive villa retreat nestled in the heart of Ubud's jungle. The design draws deeply from Balinese vernacular architecture, reinterpreting traditional pavilion structures with a contemporary material palette. The result is a space that feels simultaneously ancient and utterly modern.

Villa Serenata was conceived as a sanctuary. Situated within a dense tropical forest above the Ayung River, the project required careful site integration to preserve the existing tree canopy. The main pavilion — inspired by the traditional Balinese 'joglo' — opens fully to a central courtyard and infinity pool, framing a view of the valley that stretches to the horizon.

The material language honors local tradition: hand-carved sandstone panels, alang-alang thatched roofs, and polished terrazzo floors. At night, the villa glows like a lantern within the forest — a beacon of refined hospitality in the midst of nature.
